onceand_forallThe future fic! Haha, in my google docs this was titled "Pro-hero au", as if I don't have other fics where they are also pro-heroes. But yeah, this is a huge time-skip. The boys are twenty four and making a names for themselves! But just because they're doing well doesn't mean that every moment is a good one, ya know.

THE AGENCY
I thought a lot about what kind of agency Izuku would be at. I really wanted to have him and Shouto together, but then I thought about how I also wanted them to be in a relationship. And working with your boyfriend sounds great in theory, but not so much in practice, haha.
Uraraka was a no-brainer. She and Izuku are best friends for life, and I can totally see Uraraka following Izuku's path because she knows that he is the type of hero that she wants by her side. Even though her focus is rescue, I feel that Izuku's agency would be an eclectic sort, really breaking down the barriers between rescue and underground and spotlight. I don't think Izuku would be a happy hero if he just was in the spotlight, ya know? Inasa was another no-brainer. Since they met each other, Inasa grasped onto Izuku and never let go. And Camie was someone I just added because I felt that an agency of four was better than three, haha. Plus I feel like she's the more level headed of them all-- which is saying something, tbh.
THE TEASERS
Because this fic is set so far in the future, there are a lot of things that are referenced that haven't happened yet. For one: we have the confrontation between Shouto and Katsuki in their second year. This takes place after Izuku tells his squad everything and Shouto is so pissed that he lets it all out. He has terrible emotional regulation. He's getting better at it.
And there's also the Inasa x Katsuki fights too, though those are more offhandedly mentioned. Izuku just has a lot of strong, slightly crazy people who love him, ya know?
And then there's Shinsou, my boy, my baby. Izuku and Shinsou are friends here! Which means that there is a good future for the two of them, even if where we started off is super rocky, haha.
CONCLUSION
Bakugou continues to try to be a good friend to Izuku and at least at this point, Izuku still doesn't want any part of it. And that's so valid on Izuku's part, and very good on Bakugou's too. Because he's trying to be nice and slowly but surely make up for their past. Not that it erases anything, but Bakugou truly does see Izuku as someone who is strong and smart and confident and good. And he wants to be friends again. But Izuku doesn't-- which is where we get our stalemate!
